By Air

This is a domestic Airport therefore, only domestic flights can take you guys there.
Many couples often make plans to arrive first at the Guwahati International Airport and then head their journey towards their other destination. From Guwahati many cabs and  bus facilities are available that can take you to wherever you want to visit in Meghalaya.
Couples can also avail a helicopter facility to reach Meghalaya from Guwahati at an affordable cost; earlier it was not very much popular but now a lot of people are taking this medium of travelling. For a helicopter it takes only 20 minutes to reach Shillong, Meghalaya from Guwahati.
By Train
In Meghalaya there is not any railway station therefore, Couples who are travelling by train have to arrive first at Guwahati Railway Station and from here they can take a cab to reach the capital city of Meghalaya which is nearly 100km from Guwahati. Guwahati is well connected to other cities in the north eastern region of India like Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya and many more due to the good quality and well-maintained highways.
By Road
Although Meghalaya does not have an international airport and railway station. But it is well connected to its neighboring states by well-maintained highways. Even travelling to Shillong by bus or cab is a good idea as you guys can explore Meghalaya’s beauty from the starting.
If you guys have your own vehicle then you can also drive down to Meghalaya to explore the enchanting beauty of the state. You guys have to reach Guwahati’s Paltan Bazar first and from here you will reach NH37 following this, you guys will come to NH40 by crossing the Kamrup district. Another 65 km journey from here and you will enter the Scotland of the East i.e Shillong, Meghalaya.
